FALLING INTO FRAME (LATIMER HOUSE, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE WEDDING)

FROM THE MOMENT I TURNED UP TO SHOOT SARAH & ANDREW’S WEDDING AT LATIMER HOUSE, CHESHAM, I KNEW THIS DAY WOULD BE FULL OF PERFECTLY FRAMED MOMENTS. AND YES, THAT SOUNDS MEGA CHEESY, BUT LET ME EXPLAIN… (MAKE SURE YOU SCROLL ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO SUNSET. THE GLOWY ORANGE GOODNESS IS TOO GOOD MISS)

First thing that morning, I stepped into a surprisingly calm hotel room. All the girls were quietly buzzing around; make up happening over here, hair over there. It was relaxed and bustling at the same time. But then I was stopped in my tracks, when the dress caught my eye. There it was, out of it’s bag, on a beautiful hanger, (top marks btw Sarah) framed PERFECTLY in the window. Honestly, I didn’t move it for it’s photos, I couldn’t top that set up.

And this was a pretty good sign of how the day would pan out. It felt like everything so easily fell into frame. I remember the silhouette of the chimneys, framed perfectly between the avenue of trees at the front of the house. Then there’s those steps, with a wonderful aspect of the building behind them- so perfect to frame those formal groups. And how about the staircase? A wonderful moment of quiet symmetry, tucked away in the centre of the building.

Latimer House has many perfectly framed moments across it’s grounds and inside it’s rooms. But my favourite, is the far reaching views across the river, found hidden right at the end of the manicured lawn.

In the last few minutes of sunset, we snuck out to the end of the green, and onto the footpath that runs along the side of the house. From here, the view reaches down a gentle hill towards a river. Whilst we stood there, we could see the sun setting right ahead, hitting the tree line with it’s warm orangey glow. It threw the softest light through the trees, that were dotted across the field. Plus, this spot was just about far enough away from the party, for Sarah and Andrew to take a minute together. A few deep breaths to watch the sun go down on your wedding day, is NEVER a bad idea. Plus.. we get banging shots ;)

Massive thank yous and high fives to both Sarah and Andrew, who trusted me completely with shooting their day; from following my advice in planning, to having h best Autumn couple shoot last year, to following me out of Dinner on their wedding day, for sunset. You are both utter legends, and I genuinely hope you love your photos!!
