SO LET'S GET TO IT...

This is the part of the website where I’m meant tell you what makes me stand out from the hoards of other photographers out there. But to be honest, it's so much more about you guys. The kinds of clients I work with say so much more about me and my work than I ever could…

IT’S NOT ME, IT’S YOU: 

You don’t want smiling-to-camera shots, you don’t want to just tick a list. If it’s a wedding you want shooting, then you want every photo to burst with action, feeling and fun. You want all those imperfect in-between moments to be captured with style. If it’s for a family session, you want hilarious and touching photos which are just as surprising and raw as the family life you live.

What else makes you different? You know those photographers at weddings, the ones that wear scruffy polo shirts covered in their own branding and shout a lot? Yeah, you don’t want one of those *Dry wretch*. You want someone who’s buzzing to work with you and your family/friends, someone who isn’t afraid to get all up in your world and take awesome photos. Someone creative and fun, with a bottomless pit of energy. Because trust me, energy is everything.

ABOUT ME:

My name is Gemma, but I'm also known as Wardette. I am an adventure-seeking travel bunny, who used to live in the snowy French Alps in the Winter, and travel lots with work during the Summer. I adore anything creative and when I’m not shooting, I am an artist. I am also the daughter of a particularly awesome photographer, Tony Ward, whom I assisted for years. In a previous life I was also an academic, studying and researching Art History and Visual Culture. I am rarely seen walking anywhere without headphones, and my obsession with music has been a lifelong affliction. I also love bouldering, dogs and cheese.
