A CLEETHORPES WEDDING (LINCOLNSHIRE PHOTOGRAPHY)
I BET YOU DIDN'T THINK THE WORDS 'CLEETHORPES' AND 'HELLA-COOL-WEDDING' WENT TOGETHER SO WELL DID YOU? MARK AND AMY, WHO TRAVEL AND TOUR SO MUCH AS THE BAND 'THE MARDY JOHNNY DEPPS', RETURNED HOME TO TIE THE KNOT WITH THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THIS WEDDING HAS EVERYTHING FROM GIRLS IN LEATHER JACKETS TO FISH AND CHIPS, FROM ENGLISH SEA-SIDE FUN TO PARISIAN STREET ROMANCE.. MAKE SURE TO FLICK THROUGH TO THE END, TO CATCH SOME SNAPS OF THE AMAZING BAND LINE UP AT THEIR RECEPTION...

To those that know the couple, this wedding needs no introduction. But for those who do not, let me try...
Meribel in the French Alps, the place I am lucky enough to call home during the Winter, is also home to the most magical of musical families. A huge concentration of amazing talent and wonderful people has grown here over the past fifteen years, and the Mardys joined the fold two seasons back.
THEIR ENTHUSIASM FOR NOT JUST THEIR OWN MUSIC AND GIGS, BUT EVERYONE ELSES,
fast carved out their space in the valley.
I shot a portrait session with them (strictly music based, and not couply) last season. We had so much fun, but it was far from the way I'm used to shooting couples. When they asked me to shoot their wedding,
I WAS DEAD EXCITED TO CAPTURE THEIR CHEMISTRY AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME- IN LOVE.
Their whole wedding was real; everything from where they chose to get married, to the way they decided to dress; from the gig based reception to the hand-written bunting.
THERE WASNT A SINGLE DETAIL IN THIS DAY THAT WASN'T MARK AND AMY THROUGH AND THROUGH.
Apart from say a massive THANK YOU to both these legends, for trusting me with this epic task, I'd like to leave the photos to speak for themselves. I got to see a lot of other gorgeous faces I love at this wedding (besides the bride and groom themselves of course) and it meant the world to be amidst all the fun and love with my camera.
I leave you with a song lyric which hung in the reception setting, in Amy's own handwriting. It quite simply states the best thing about this wedding, and the best thing about my job:
"NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS. LOVE IS THE BEST"
