ALT BRIDAL FLORALS (WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY & BRIDE STYLE)

Alternative bridal florals, what a mouthful. But hear me out.. Although i’m no florist (huge props to you florists out there, you’re true artists) working in wedding photography has given me an eye into styling and inspiration for my clients. I love it. But there’s one thing I love more, breaking with tradition and convention. It’s really bloody fun…

Sometimes, I see an idea in my head, and then I cannot rest until I get it out. This mini sesh with the beautiful Katie, is one such idea. Who says flowers have to be held in your hands? Often, saying ‘maybe not’ to a tradition, opens up a trillion exciting possibilities. All of which are totally of you own creation, imagination and personality. I mean.. what else should wedding style be? Right?

Now listen, I love bouquets as much as the next person. Honestly, I love what a florist can do with sculptural shape, colour and texture. It’s beautiful. But I think I love flowers more. I love the fact that wherever they are, and however they are presented, they are fricking beautiful. So, in keeping with my zero-fucks bridal styling, here is one of my own floral brain-farts (way to go Gem, that’s a super way to describe something this pretty *rolls eyes*).
